Physical Description		Nao is originally of Japanese origin, but was born and raised off world on the Litax Colony. She has long platinum hair and bright blue eyes. General Overview		Nao can be considered 'cold' by many. She is strict when it comes to her duties on a starship. She has a temper, but it doesn't often show until she is truly pushed. She is a by the book officer and likes everything in order and everything should be where it should be. She has a certain aura of mistrust that follows her, mainly due to her background.

Personal History

[Start of Service Log, Classified by Starfleet Intelligence and Medical. Level 10 Authorisation only.] Nao doesn't remember much of her childhood. Much of anything before she was fifteen is gone from her memory. She can only remember a few details, her parents names and the fact she was born on Litax Colony. However what she does remember is being abducted when she was fifteen along with several other colonists by an unknown alien species. The Litax Colony (Now destroyed and considered 'lost' by Starfleet) was on the very edge of Federation Space. In 2378, Starfleet lost contact with the Colony and dispatched a vessel, the USS Ajax to investigate. However due to how far out the colony was, it would take nearly two years to arrive. Infact Litax Colony, which was meant to be a new start for many of its people, was under attack by an unknown aliens. Nao does not know what happened to her parents or her older brother, all she knows is that she survived the attack. Although she sometimes wishes she hadn't. She was the only colony to survive whom was female. Over the next two years, at the age of fifteen she was experimented on by the aliens. She never actually ever saw the aliens, they were always in darkness. Several other colonists were also experimented on, all from different species. She wished for escape or death to end her suffereing, but it never came. It never arrived. Some of those experiment were taxing on Nao. They played with her DNA, causing her brown hair to turn to a strange platinum colour. They removed limbs and reattached them, as well as opening her body in strange surgery whilst she was still concious. In one experiment Nao was certain they once had somehow removed most of her internal organs, but managed to keep her alive, before putting them back into her again. The worst experiment was one of the last experiment she went through. After nearly two years (Although she had no perception of time). The aliens placed her into a strange dark room with another captured colonist whom they had been experimenting on. They had removed most of his willpower and sense of self, resulting in him turning only to basic instincts. Both of them were placed in the room naked and left for several weeks. It didn't susprise Nao when the other male colonist repeatidly 'mated' with her, sometimes when she was asleep. She became pregnant at seventeen with the other colonists child. Upon discovering this, the aliens removed her from the room. She had no idea who the other colonist was, or even what species he was. It was always too dark to see him properly and he couldn't communicate. Her pregnancy was sped up, causing her excrutiating pain. After only nine days, she looked to be nine months pregnant. She then gave birth to the child alone with no medical help. The baby was taken away, and she never saw it again. She was impregnated again in various ways, twice more by the aliens before she was finally rescued. The USS Ajax had arrived at the colony to find a large strange orbital complex. She was rescued by Starfleet Officers who had boarded the complex after detecting Human lifesigns. The Ajax then began to ferry Nao and several other survivors back to a Federation Starbase. Nao, was relieved to get out of there. Although she bore no physical scars from the aliens experimentation apart from her hair colour, she was emotionally destroyed. She underwent theraphy for her ordeals, which lasted two years with specialised counselors back at Starfleet Medical. She was asked what she wanted to do, but she hadn't retained any memories of her childhood so she was clueless. She turned to Starfleet and since it was the organisation that had saved her, she expressed interest in that. [End of Classified Information] Nao Tomori applied for Starfleet Academy at age nineteen. She was accepted after she passed the entrance exam. The next four years Nao studied in the Security and Tactical department. She was often distant from many other cadets and stood out. She was often known for being beaten up for being cold to others. She often allowed herself to be beaten in fights, she didn't think anything of it. That was until someone once said she should stand up for herself. Which she did and the one bully who used to get to her ended up in the infirmary. Somehow she wasn't kicked out of the Academy and graduated with the officer rank of Ensign. She was assigned aboard the USS Jackal as a Junior Security Officer at age 23. The Jackal was a Centaur Class Starship and was assigned along the Cardassian Border. It saw a few minor skirmishes with the Cardassians, however its main reason for being in the area was to support Deep Space Nine in the Bajoran Sector. After two years, Nao was promoted to that of Lieutenant Junior Grade. She stayed aboard the Jackal until she was twenty six. She then applied out of the blue for a position aboard another ship with more authority. She was shocked to hear that she was being reassigned to the USS Ajax. The same ship that had rescued her from the aliens. Captain Moore of the Ajax had been watching Nao closely since he had rescued her, a the time he had been the Executive Officer of the Ajax and 'inherited' the ship when its original Captain had retired. The Ajax was a Miranda Class Vessel and wasn't exactly a 'ship of the line'. However Moore pulled some strings and managed to get Nao as his Chief Security/Tactical Officer. It didn't take long for Nao to gain more weight on her collar, another half pip resulted in her becoming a full Lieutenant at age twenty seven. She stayed aboard the Ajax as the Chief Security/Tactical Officer under Captain Moore. She started to finally feel like she had a home now, however that all changed after two years. The Ajax had responded to a distress call from a planet in the Romulan Neutral Zone. Captain Moore Decided to take the Ajax in to assist. However it turned out to be a trap. The Ajax was ambushed by three Romulan Warbirds. Nao whom had been manning the tactical console managed to fight once off, but not before the ships XO, Commander Thompson was killed in a console explosion. The Ajax managed to limp back to Federation space and was towed home by the USS Washington. With no one to take the role of XO on the Ajax, Nao was offered it. She accepted and became the acting executive officer of the Ajax until the ship returned home. It then became apparant that there was no one available to take the job. Moore then promoted Nao to the rank of Lieutenant Commander and made her the permament executive officer. The Ajax was assigned to a deep space exploration mission. Until it returned back to Earth after three years. Nao throughout its time served as the ships Executive Officer. When the Ajax returned the ship was due to be decomissioned as it was an old ship and was being phased out. In the time between assignments, Nao underwent the bridge officers command exam. This resulted in her being automatically promoted to Commander. At the time, there was a trial regarding Captain Taiga Aisaka of the USS Tokyo. Starfleet had decided to place Nao as the ships acting captain of the vessel as it wasn't clear if Captain Aisaka was going to be retaining her command. Nao never actually set foot on the USS Tokyo, as Captain Aisaka had been found innocent of all charges and retained her command. Nao felt bitter about this, as she was then assigned as the Executive Officer of the USS Myogi, as there was no command's available for her. She bit her lip and decided to simply get on with her job.

Evidence shows that several surgries were peformed upon her body. These include the following: - Removal and reattachment of Limbs. - Removal and reattachment of internal organs. - Changes to DNA (No augmentation) - Sexual Impregnation - Artificial insemination - Brain probing - Exposure to various types of radiation and light levels. Due to these, Nao Tomori does have the following conditions relating to mental health: - Post Traumatic Stress Disorder - Survivors Guilt (less prone) - Distant personality - Paranoia Special Note: Although it is a delicate subject, it is uncertain of Nao Tomori is able to successfully have children on her own due to the experimations peformed upon her by the 'aliens'.
