| Personal History | Born and raised on the Helios colony. A colony decimated by a plague. As one of the survivors he was granted relocation to Earth. He joined the fleet hoping to emulate those who saved what remained of his people. An opportunity to emulate them did come up, later in his career. The USS Tsunami responded to a distress call from a Federation Colony. A situation nearly identical to that of his home planet. The ship's CMO used his unique authority to declare a planetary quarantine. The CO approved the use of an experimental treatment. The results were catastrophic. The incident was covered up by the fleet and everyone on the Tsunami was reassigned quietly. Instead of punishment, Kael was promoted to Assistant CMO. He has never been able to live with that since. Besides the remaining crew of the Tsunami, only a handful of high ranking officers know the full details. |
