Everything Old Is New Again

To All Crew:

First of all, I'd like to welcome back a former player to our sim: Please give Absinthe, our original Chief Medical Officer, a warm welcome back as they rejoin us, this time as Crewman Recruit Lyric Lake. The Myogi has changed a lot since Absinthe was last aboard, and I look forward to seeing what Lyric might bring to the table!

Absinthe is not the only thing returning to the Myogi, however. Anybody else hear that theme music?

That's right, folks: After two years off the air, The Love Boat returns for a second season! Given the positive reception to me annually reopening our Christmas side mission, I've decided to give The Love Boat another chance. I believe that two years later, we are far more established and have a much more active community than the rough first season that was hampered by the sim's launch occurring near simultaneously. I have confidence that exciting and new life will be breathed into this side mission.

So, come one, come all and take your summer cruise on the holodecks of the USS Myogi! And enjoy more relaxed posting requirements during this optional side mission's run: Exclusive to The Love Boat, all posting requirements that have gone into effect on October 16, 2023 will not apply. Though we do encourage that all posts pertaining to this mission be wrapped up by Labor Day, or September 2 for our players outside the US.

Like last season, all positions that were open before remain as such:

Your Captain: Maho Takahashi
Your Ship's Doctor: Available
Your Yeoman Purser: Available
Your Bartender: Available
Passengers: All are welcome to play along as passengers or NPC passenger holograms

The Starlight Lounge channel on the Myogi Discord will soon be reopened for discussion related to this mission. The Love Boat promises something for everyone, and I look forward to seeing what this renaissance might bring!
