Save the Federation.

That had been one of the rallying cries that Tanaka Miyahara had used following the corrupt trial of Captain Taiga Aisaka; perhaps the most corrupt he had ever seen. So corrupt that Starfleet saw fit to remove him from command of the Myogi. Miyahara had tried to warn people then what would happen as a consequence of their decision, and that consequence was now playing out before Miyahara's eyes:

Miyahara had been backstage at the Save the Federation rally as the other speakers spoke to the crowd. A crowd that was bigger than even he could have imagined. And they were spoiling for a fight, especially after certain things the other speakers had said, such as calling for "trial by combat" and suggesting they "start taking down names and start kicking ass." Miyahara had even been warned not to attend, as allegedly some in the crowd were armed. But Miyahara knew that this crowd wouldn't hurt the man they respected, in some cases more than their own families.

However, the sheer size of the cheering crowd didn't fully sink in for Miyahara until he took the stage, when he saw before him a vast sea of cheering people that had come from all over the Federation, waving all kinds of flags ranging from the Federation flag to flags with his name on them to even the old Gadsden flag from the historical earth country of the United States. Miyahara couldn't help but feel a sense of pride that all these people were here to see him. It was this that he had warned Burke about at the end of the trial...

An army of patriots who love the Federation, and were ready to protect it from all enemies; foreign and domestic...

Miyahara took the podium as his entrance song finished, and he took an extra moment to take in the noise of the crowd before he began to speak; he would be sure to give the crowd a speech that they wouldn't be quick to forget:

"The media will not show the magnitude of this crowd." He began. "Even I, when I turned it on today, I looked and I saw the hundreds of thousands of people here, but you don't see the millions of people behind you, because they don't want to show that. We have millions of people here and I just want them to be recognized by the fake news media. Turn your cameras, please, and show what's really happening here, because these people are not going to take it any longer. They're not going to take it any longer. Go ahead, turn your cameras. Please, would you show? They came from all over, the galaxy, actually, but they came from all over our Federation. I just really want to see what they do. I just want to see how they're covered. I've never seen anything like it, but it would be really great if we could be covered fairly by the media. The media is the biggest problem we have as far as I'm concerned: The single biggest problem. The fake news and the big corporations. The big corporations have really been coming into their own in recent years. At least 12 times in the last ten years, we've beaten them. We've surprised them. We took them by surprise, and this year, they rigged a trial. They rigged it like I've never seen a trial rigged before, and by the way, last night, they didn't do a bad job either, if you notice."

"I'm honest, and I, just, again I want to thank you." Miyahara said, struggling to find the words. "It's just a great honor to have this kind of crowd and to be before you and millions of Federation patriots who are committed to the honesty of our justice system and the integrity of our Glorious Republic. All of us here do not want to see our trial victory stolen by emboldened radical left pacifists- which is what they're doing -and stolen by the fake news media. That's what they've done and what they're doing. We will never give up. We will never concede. It doesn't happen! You don't concede when there's theft involved. Our Federation has had enough. We will not take it anymore, and that's what this is all about. And to use a favorite term, that all of you people really came up with, we will Stop the Steal!"

"Today, I will lay out just some of the evidence proving that we won this trial, and we won it by a landslide. This was not a close trial- you know, I say sometimes, jokingly, but there's no joke about it. I've prosecuted at least 15 trials since becoming Commodore, and I've won 'em all, and this latest one, I won much bigger than any of the others, okay? The evidence against Taiga Aisaka was damning; perhaps the most open-and-shut case in Federation history. And I was told by the real jurors- we do have real jurors -they know that we were going to do well and we were going to win. But I was told if I went from a slim majority verdict, which we had the previous trial, to a unanimous verdict, there was no chance of losing. Well, we didn't go to a unanimous verdict; we went to a unanimous verdict and even Nyanta agreed with the evidence put forth. And they say we lost? We didn't lose! And by the way, does anyone believe that Taiga had the jury's unanimous verdict? Does anybody believe that? She had a unanimous computer verdict! It's a disgrace. There's never been anything like that. You could take the Romulan Star Empire. Just take a look; take the Romulan Star Empire. Their trials are more honest than what we've been going through here in the Federation. It's a disgrace. It's a disgrace. Even when you look at last night, they're all running around like chickens with their heads cut off, with boxes, and nobody knows what the hell is going on. There's never been anything like this. We will not let them silence your voices. We're not going to let it happen. Not going to let it happen."

At this moment, the crowd began chanting "fight for Miyahara!"

"Thank you;" Miyahara said. "And I'd love to have, if those hundreds of thousands of people would be allowed. Starfleet, the Secret Service, we want to thank you, and the police, law enforcement, great. You're doing a great job, but I'd love it they could be allowed to come up here with us. Is that possible? Can you let them just come up, please?"

"And Gavek, you did a great job. He's got guts. You know what? He's got guts, unlike a lot of people on the right. He's got guts, he fights, he fights, and I'll tell you, thank you very much, Rugi. Fantastic job I watched. That's a tough act to follow, those two. Rugi is one of the most brilliant prosecutors in our Federation, and he looked at this and he said "what an absolute disgrace that this could be happening to our Constitution" and he looked at Nyanta. And I hope Nyanta is going to do the right thing. I hope so. I hope so, because if Nyanta does the right thing, we win the trial. All he has to do, all... This is, this is from the number one, or certainly one of the top, constitutional lawyers in the Federation. He has the absolute right to do it. We're supposed to protect our Federation, support our Federation, support our constitution, and protect our constitution. The jury wants to revote. The jury got defrauded. They were given false information. They voted on it. Now, they want to recertify. They want it back. All Admiral Nyanta has to do is send the verdict back to the jury to recertify, and Taiga Aisaka goes to jail, I'm reinstated, and you are the happiest people. And I, actually I just spoke to Nyanta, I said "Nyanta, that doesn't take courage. What takes courage is to do nothing. That takes courage, and then we're stuck with a mass murderer who lost their trial by a lot running amok, and we have to live with that." We're just not going to let that happen."

"Many of you traveled from all over the Federation to be here, and I want to thank you for the extraordinary love- that's what it is. There's never been a movement like this ever, ever, for the extraordinary love for this amazing Federation and this amazing movement."

The crowd began chanting Miyahara's name.

"Thank you." Miyahara said. "By the way, this goes all the way back towards the Golden Gate Bridge. Do you believe this? Look at this! Unfortunately, they gave the press the prime seats. I can't stand that, no, but you... Look at that behind- I just wish they'd flip those cameras and look- behind you. That is the most amazing sight. When they make a mistake, you get to see it on television. Amazing, amazing. All the way back."

As Miyahara was speaking, members of right wing extremist groups, some dressed as regular members of the crowd, began to set in motion their plot, calling out to the members of the crowd within earshot of them to direct them to a new destination once Miyahara was finished speaking:

"We have the strength in numbers. When Miyahara is finished speaking, march on Starfleet Headquarters."
