Mission: Junichi Koyama
Location: Gamma Zednor

“Arriving at Gamma Zednor,” reported Jane Sinclair from the helm station.

The Myogi dropped out of warp in orbit of Gamma Zednor. Nearby, the Myogi's Luna class fleet mate was also in orbit. The planet's atmosphere had a green tinge to it, and even from orbit looked foreboding and unwelcoming:

Maho sat in the captain's chair on the bridge as the Myogi attained a stable orbit of the planet.

Bree sat quietly on the bridge, carefully observing, prepared to offer guidance if necessary. Hopefully, all would be revealed in time and go well, but whatever the outcome, Scott simply knew she did not want to observe events from sickbay or her office. Naturally, she knew she would only be a turbolift away if it turned out she was needed elsewhere, but in the meantime, she knew she had several responsibilities to manage.

"Status of the Akagi?" She asked.

"Akagi appears to be maintaining a stable orbit," Commander Anzai reported from her station directly behind the central command pit. "Engines are powered down; ship is holding its position at bearing 311, mark 190-!"

Before she could finish the thought, the Ops console suddenly chirped.

"The USS Akagi is hailing us, Captain," stated Max as he briefly looked back to Maho for orders.

"On screen." Maho ordered. Max was quick to follow through.

The image on the viewscreen changed to that of the Akagi's bridge. Instead of Captain Hartmann standing on the bridge to greet them, the Myogi's bridge crew were instead met with a German brunette with only two and a half pips on her command red uniform.

"This is Lieutenant Commander Gertrud Barkhorn of the USS Akagi." The brunette introduced herself. "Glad you could make it, Myogi."

"Let's hope our being here makes a difference, Commander:" Maho responded. "Oh, uh, where's Captain Hartmann?"

"Captain Hartmann is on the planet's surface at the governor's mansion." Gertrud explained. "She's awaiting your arrival."

"Then let's not keep her waiting. Myogi out." Maho said, terminating the communications channel.

Maho then stood up from her chair:

"Commander Misono, you're with me." She ordered as she looked up and saw Keisuke walking onto the bridge. "Keisuke, you and Commander Anzai have the bridge." Maho then turned towards the ops station: "Lieutenant Gill. Meet us in transporter room 2 in five minutes."

"Aye, Captain," Ichika replied as she got up to follow Maho to the turbolift.

Max had already stood the moment he was called. "Right away, Captain," he said as he nodded to the backup Ops Officer who took his position.

Commander Anzai huffed to herself as the doors to the turbolift slid shut. While the Captain's orders were indisputably final, there was no doubt in anyone's mind- especially after her earlier outburst- that she wanted to be on that away team. But then again, given her strong opinions on the matter, having her there would likely do more harm than good, and that was something that Maho definitely couldn't afford.

Jane at the helm kept them in their stable orbit. She wanted to beam down but wasn’t part of the away team. Not yet anyway. But in the meantime, she would keep the ship in position and ready to move.

Max went over briefly with the Ops Officer what he expected and needed done, then took the second Turbolift down to Transporter Room 2. He was alone as he entered and alone as he disembarked, briefly going by a supply room to grab a small medical kit and engineering repair kit should they need it. He topped it off with the required phaser side-arm on his belt and moved out. By five minutes on the dot he appeared in Transporter Room 2.

"Arrived as ordered, Captain," Max said, decked out, heading to the pad for transport.

"Lieutenant; who's operating the transporter controls?" Maho asked, holding out a hand to stop Max from stepping up onto the pad.

"Ah!" Max said, moving back, flushed at his error. He cleared his throat as he moved back to the transporter. He nodded, accepting the chide and his position. "Ready to transport at your order, Captain."

Victor entered at that moment, a modified bandolier style medical kit draped from shoulder to hip. Inclining his head to everyone aboard the transporter pad he took the open position. "My apologies for my tardiness Captain. Commanders."

=/\= This is Rori from Transporter Room 3, Kurumi, Ruby and I are heading down for our little scouting run. Godspeed and good luck =/\=

=A=Acknowledged,=A= Ichika radioed back. =A=Good luck to all of you; you're going to need it more than we are.=A=

And with that, she terminated the communication and turned to give Maho a silent nod of approval.

"Energize." Maho ordered.

Max nodded, moving up the slider on the console to energize the transporter system after properly calibrating it.

As the transporter powered up, Maho and Ichika began to turn into transporter energy as the transporter beam enveloped them and whisked them down to the planet below.
