Mission: Indivisible
Location: Braxus System
Timeline: After 'The Battle of Braxus (Part 1)

Previously, on Star Trek: Myogi:

[USS Akagi]

"All hands, battle stations:" The acerbic Captain Hartmann ordered. "Tactical, prepare to fire weapons."

Erica turned to Commander Barkhorn.

"And if, for some reason, we don't survive this- let it be known that it has been my honor to serve alongside you all."

[USS Kaga]

"I want all fighters ready to move:" Koko ordered. "If the Tal Shiar and Elachi are going to fight dirty, I intend to match them, step for step."

And now, the continuation:

[USS Myogi]

The Myogi shuddered as the enemy returned fire.

"Evasive maneuvers, Sinclair!" Maho called out.

“Yes ma’am!” Jane called out. Her fingers moved gracefully across the console and brought the ship into a dive, making their cruiser dodge many of the phaser, disruptor, and torpedo blasts coming from Miyahara and his allies. “I’ll do my best to give you clean shots, Kurumi.” But she had to prioritize movement. Still ships get shot down.

"I appreciate it," Kurumi replied her eyes glued to the tactical console which showed the tactical display of the now ongoing battle. "Captain, the Sandusky is taking heavy fire." she called out. The viewscreen showed the Steamrunner Class ship taking a beating from three of the Elachi ships, it was trying its best to manuever away from them, banking heavily from port to starboard in an attempt to evade their shots.

"Our shields are holding so far, multi-layered system is rotating to compensate." Ji-hee knew Tactical also had a shield monitoring station. But part of her role was to balance power into keeping the shields strong. She sent a message to the Science department to warn them certain systems might be placed on stand-by if needed. Tension was visible across the young Korean's facial features

Maho contemplated a course of action: The Myogi already had her hands full with two Romulan vessels firing on it, but with the beating the Sandusky was taken, the smaller Steamrunner class ship would surely be destroyed by the Elachi weapons.

"Sinclair; get us closer to the Sandusky!" Maho ordered. "Ebisuzawa, I want a full spread of photon torpedoes ready when we get there!"

“Closing distance,” Jane called out. She pushed the impulse engines into the red to get them alongside, ready to help their friends.

"Locked and loaded!" Kurumi replied her finger hovering over the fire button. Her eyes were fixed on her console, watching as the Myogi drew closer. "Keep her steady Jane... on my mark. Punch it to clear the blast radius."

“On your word,” Jane said, a course laid in, ready to execute, keeping them steady while trying to dodge enemy fire.

[USS Europa]

"Myogi reports the Sandusky is taking heavy fire, Commander," the Europa's Ops Officer reported. "Their shields are holding, but draining fast."

"Helm, flanking maneuvers!" Rize instructed. "Tactical, let's get them some cover fire!"

"Flanking!" the Conn Officer announced as she maneuvered to intercept.

"Aye, sir:" The Security Officer responded. "Photon torpedoes away!"

[USS Sandusky]

Captain Annalee Carson gripped the armrests of her chair as the Sandusky took another hit from Elachi weapons fire.

"Damage report!" Carson ordered.

As the Sandusky stabilized, Lieutenant Patricia Cooke stood upright to check her readouts, but kept braced against the tactical station for the next hit.

"We've lost aft shields!" Patricia reported. "Forward shields are down to 15 percent!"

"Sir!" The Operations Officer called out. "The Myogi and Europa are closing on an attack vector!"

"About time..." Carson noted.

[USS Myogi]

As the Myogi drew closer Kurumi watched. "Just a little more..." then she pushed her finger on the launch button. "MARK!"

A spread of torpedoes erupted from the Myogi's forward launchers at near point blank range, along with several phaser blasts for good measure. Every single shot slammed into the Elachi ship causing it to be consumed in fire.

Another Elachi ship approached, it's green disruptor firing as it took a direct run at Myogi.

A blast rocked the Myogi, sending audible reverberations across the bridge. "Shields are starting to crack.. 94 percent." Ji-hee ignored the rocking aftershock of the impact and switched the shield modulation rate from standard to aggressive.

She turned to study the tactical overlay of the Starfleet formation. The Myogi and Europa sped towards the attacking Elachi. The Elachi would be forced to confront them. "The Europa is moving to support us", Lt. Moon added.

One ship veered from its attacks on the Sandusky to change its target to the Myogi. Fire from the Europa caught it mid-manuever. Its shields took more damage than expected, causing a moment of hesitation from the Elachi commander. It fired towards the Myogi while turning to run from the Europa.

"We have their attention!" Maho declared.

“Come catch us,” Jane whispered, grinning as she led the Elachi on a merry chase, lining them up for the Europa.

[USS Europa]

"Myogi is lining up an Elachi ship in our broadside."

"FIRE!" Rize shouted.

"Phasers and torpedoes away." The tactical officer responded.

In a hail of phaser fire peppered by a spread of photon torpedoes, the Elachi ship was engulfed in a fireball.

[USS Myogi]

"Not as tough in real space, are you?' Chihc commented wryly.

"Don't get cocky yet, Commander:" Maho responded. "This battle's far from over."

Seeing another Tal Shiar ship ahead, Jane rolled the ship and pulled up to avoid another volley of plasma torpedoes. Far from over, indeed! A battle of this scale reminded her of those reports she’d read of the final days of the Dominion War, and the intense battle on the line between Bajor and Cardassia. The Cardassian fleet changed sides midway. Jem’Hadar and Breen ships at every turn. But just like back then, here today Starfleet had something the other side did not: righteousness of cause. She was able to maneuver toward another Romulan warbird, one with its main torpedo launchers pointed away. She lined up the shot for Kurumi.

"You know what Lieutenant, keep lining up those shots with how you're flying and if we survive it, the drinks are on me." Kurumi said as she released a volley of phaser fire on the Tal Shiar ship.

"Oh that's handy..." Kurumi said.

“I’ll take you up on that!” Jane called to Kurumi. “Once we’re out of this!”

To be continued...
