Mission Update - October plans!

Posted on Sat Oct 1st, 2022 @ 7:06pm by Captain Maho Takahashi

To all crew,

Happy October, everyone! September has left us in quite an interesting spot, and I am happy to report that we are getting pretty close to wrapping up Trade Troubles. So for October, I have a challenge for you all: I would like to see Trade Troubles wrapped by the end of the month! I know that's a lot to ask for, but I know we're capable of pulling it off.

As a recap, here's what's currently happening:

-The Nikko's armory has just fallen, albeit it was a little bit of a messy victory.
-Teams are currently working to secure the main computer core and Main Engineering
-Back on the Myogi, we're assessing how badly we've been hit in the firefight.

And here's what we need to do to get the mission wrapped:

-Anyone who is part of the post "Licking Our Wounds" and wishes to tag in should feel free to do so today. If I time the posting right, this news item should go live before I head off to a charity event, and you'll have until I get back to tag into either part before I put them both up on the site.
-Main Engineering will need to be secured, as the resistance will be turning out to be fiercer than originally accounted for.
-After Main Engineering falls, Maho will give Seiji one last chance to willingly surrender himself, but he will challenge Maho to have her teams come and get him. At which point, Iwaki will attempt to activate the self-destruct. However, due to our actions, the self destruct will fail to activate.
-Ichika and Tristana will storm the Nikko's bridge and transport out with Iwaki, at which point command of the Nikko will fall to Iwaki's first officer, who will cooperate with us.
-The Nikko will need to be repaired to a point where both ships can get underway back to Federation space.

It'll be at this point where we'll begin our next mission; Insurrection.

I've got to say, I'm quite thrilled to be this close to the end of a mission only seven months in instead of eleven, and I hope you're all as excited as I am to get Trade Troubles done.

Regards,

Captain Maho Takahashi
Commanding Officer
