1,448 words; about a 7 minute read

Mission: The Fast & The Fleet
Location: USS Myogi
Timeline: After 'A Night In Gotham (Part 1)'

Previously, on Star Trek Myogi:

About 2 hours later they were at the batcave where Alfred and cyborg were waiting.

"Victor it's good to see you do what I do owe the pleasure?" Connor said.

Victor turned to reveal that he bore a resemblance to an assimilated Lieutenant JG Johnston. Of course; this holonovel was derived from comics from a time before humanity knew things like the Borg existed, and the character had been quick to be forgotten after the collective's existence was discovered.

"Boy, you sure know how to take your sweet time;" Johnston commented. "And what's she doin' rollin' with the league? Last I checked, we weren't too fond of her."

And now, the continuation:

"Well you know me I love to make a scene. Also she has information we need and I may or may not have promised her she could tag along with us In exchange for it " Connor replied.

Alisha stuck her tongue out at the cyborg, then turned her back in a huff that would be worthy of the role she was playing, "Why, is the tin man jealous that I'm over here with the two hunks?" She asked, tossing her head back to look over her shoulder, "But when yer Puddin' tries to put a bullet in your brainpan, the choices are to go with the Squish or to do what's needed to get him some help." She half-turned again with a flounce, "And the BattyBoy here did promise I could come along, I can be useful, really I can."

Suddenly, the psychiatrist-turned-harlequin jester found her wrists bound by rope. But not any rope. This rope glowed a brilliant gold.

At the other end of the rope stood Jane Sinclair, in full Wonder Woman regalia. Knee high boots. Red armour bustier with silver trim forming the WW icon. Blue, star-spangled shorts that were shorter than anything she’d ever worn outside the bedroom. Silver bracers around her wrists and a silver tiara, adorned with a red star, in her black hair. A sword and shield were strapped to her back. The woman who once had the flight callsign ‘Amazon’ now played the most famous Amazon of them all.

Jane had done her research into the costumes, and this one looked fun. Not quite as silly as the costumes from the twentieth century, but also not quite as dark as the ones made for the films of the early twenty-first. A good balance.

“Say that again, Harley,” Wonder Woman said (in an accent that wasn’t quite right; Jane would need to get Alisha’s coaching later, but she hadn’t told her girlfriend that she was joining them in this holonovel). “Let’s see how much truth there is in what you say.” She nodded to the men.

Alisha's eyes opened wide as she first heard and then saw Jane. This was definitely a surprise and she nearly broke character in excitement, but instead turned the happy surprise into just sheer shock-surprise as she found her hands completely unable to move away from each other, "Well if it isn't the Golden Girl." She truly tried to throw a sneer into her voice, since she couldn't seem to put one on her face, but managed to barely add any bite to her tone, "Perhaps you didn't hear what I'd said? He tried to kill me! He's out of his mind! He needs me to help him!" She repeated what she'd said before, since it was 'the truth' to the story, "And Batsy did say I could drive the Batmobile, so there is that, too." She reached out with her tied hands, "Now, unless you're going to take me somewhere for some nice and naughty fun, can you take this thing off?"

For a moment, Wonder Woman had to consider whether and how the lasso of truth worked on the criminally insane. Jane couldn’t help but break character and smirk before putting her serious face back on and unwinding the lasso.

“I heard about the theft at S.T.A.R. Labs,” she said to the assembled Batman, Superman, and Cyborg. “This probably calls for a few of us.”

"Yes it will what do you say up for a challenge Diana?" Connor replied.

“Always am,” she replied, smiling to the assembled heroes.

Colonel Rick Flag had entered the room, his large boots clomping an entrance. Pratt held the Benelli M2 shotgun relaxing on his back neck and shoulder and standing broad in the doorway, chewing his gum. His eyebrows dark narrowed, eyeing Batman, Superman, the Cyborg, Connor, Wonder Woman, and Harley Quinn.

Brandon felt suited for the part in some way. Rick Flag, broad chest and shoulders pronounced, Brandon enjoyed wearing the standard on-screen orange tee-shirt and Flags tattoos. He was temporarily plastered on Brandon. He grinned, surprising the others. “At ease… ” Pratt in Character, gestures as he cocked his head sideways. “Where are we headed?” Flag wiggled his eyebrow.

Alisha had ducked around Connor and Jane as Brandon had entered the room, using them as cover to sneak around behind him, then jumped on his back, wrapping her arms around his neck and hanging on in more of a hug from behind him than anything else. Acting like a literal crazy woman was rather quite fun, being unpredictable was definitely interesting, "We're headed where the sun don't shine, Flagboy! Well, the sun does shine there, but an awful lot of shadows and other creepy-crawlies too!"

Brandon kept in character, holding his surprise of having what had looked to be Alisha Reno! She was on his back! But dressed as a crazy villain, a superhero of famous proportions.

“GrrGNnHh!” Pratt flexed his shoulders forward-leaning into the weight of having the bouncy crazy, smiley-eyed Quinn bouncing about the room in an oddly creepy way!

“Does the Batman truly believe Quinn had sought him out for help?” Pratt egged his head forward before setting Harley, unceremoniously dumping her off his back into the couch.

“She seems to be,” Wonder Woman answered. “I wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t the entire truth, but she’s being honest about the basics of it.”

Alisha landed awkwardly, but managed to quickly make it look like she'd been lounging on the couch the entire time, "It's not that *I* asked him for help, BatsyBoy came to ME to ask for MY help." She waved a hand airily, "Which, of course, I was all too gracious to grant him, me being the nice and good girl that I always HAVE been."

"I won't deny that what she's saying isn't true. However Harley as a insane as she is. Is a trusted ally. Besides she knows where the joker could be. Like it or not shes in the team" Connor said.

"Kick the tires and light the fires..." Rick had cocked his shotgun.

“I’m boooooooored!” Alisha wailed/whined, kicking her legs idly in the air. It was actually not true, she was having an absolute blast in her role, but Harley Quinn was a character of active inaction and was supposed to have the attention span of a small dog chasing a ball, “When’re we gonna go get ice cream?”

Rick had grimaced at Harley. “This one. She’s like a child. She wants to go get Ice Cream; she says!!” The flag took out his MRE of a chocolate bar and then tossed it across to Harley.

“YESS!!” Flag rubbed his tummy, mocking the child play of Harley. "Good, Mnnnn."

Alisha snagged the chocolate bar in midflight and clutched it like a squirrel with a prized nut and tore it open and began to nibble on it, "Thish'll do for now." She said with a mouth full of the sweet.

"That's ok." He paused and watched Alisha actually play out the chewing and eating of the protein bar. He nearly burst there. "Wow. You are... really... eating that thing..."

“Well let’s go then,” Wonder Woman declared. She (and Jane) agreed with Harley in this instance. It was time for action. To solve a problem with sword, shield, and fist.

"Very well Harley where did you last see the Joker? Any information will help" Connor asked.

Flag crossed his forearms, standing with piercing eyes at Harley.

Alisha plucked the last crumbs off of her outfit, considered them, then popped them in her mouth before rolling off the couch and to her feet, "I last saw him about a week ago, he was walking away from me on Main Street after I told him I wanted him to go straight." She nodded emphatically, obviously following the request exactly.

To be continued...
