Mission: Christmas Vacation
Timeline: Christmas Eve

Twas the night before Christmas
Late in Gamma Shift
Many were sleeping
Which meant - time for gifts!

For one of the crewmen
So graceful and tall
Had been to the market
And got presents for all

At the Christmas Promenade
On Starbase Kay-Nine
Was a market of antiques
With so many great finds!

The market was full
Of antiques, old and varied
From all across Earth
And the peoples it carried

And so, it began
A great Christmas Mission
For Jane to buy presents
For her friends - it’s tradition!

With the help of a Chief
Who was kind, round, and shorter
She sent out the presents
With the ship’s main Transporter

She began with the Captain
A soon-to-be mom
A woven sash carrier
To bring baby along

But every new parent
Needs something for them
Is that a Parrises Squares mallet?
From twenty-one-ninety-seven?!

For her Euro-loving husband
An old vinyl of course
And a diaper bag he can carry
That doesn’t look like a purse!

Jane’s favourite First Officer
Who’s loves Maki Rolls
An authentic set for making them
They’re good for the soul!

Takumi needs something
Old cars are his game
A gear shift knob from ‘57
For his gear shift, or cane

Jane and Tristana
Have had their ups and downs
But an authentic Winchester
Will invert her frowns

Did you know that Ruby
Likes to make fashion?
Is that a Seamstress Mannequin?
It’ll help fuel her passion!

Brandon likes tinkering
With motorcycles, how cool
How about this leather seat
From an Indian four-oh-two

We all have fun with Connor
And his Gotham City game
The market had a Batman comic
From 2011, in a frame

Doctor Delling, or Victor
Helped Jane when she was ill
She saw him sketching in his downtime
Love this leatherbound sketchbook, he will!

William was new,
Jane didn’t know him well
But Mai told her he loved crime books
He’ll like this one, with its old book smell!

Speaking of Nurse Mai,
She liked reading too
The market had old Harlequins
She could share with Dillard, so she got two

The section of the market
Where she got Keisuke’s Eurobeat
Also had choral music
Which Bree finds so sweet

Jane barely knew Queed
So new he was on board
But found some antique boxing gloves
Elisabeth’s idea; he’ll never get bored!

Elisabeth loved old ships
From Century Twenty
An artifact from a shipwreck
Will make her smile plenty!

And now her friends the pilots
Of the Myogi’s two fighters
Their styles are great
Their maneuvers are tighter

For Mia, some flying gloves
Leather, with style
And for Karen, pulpy Manga
That’ll give her a smile

But last on her list
Was Alisha, her love
Whom she couldn’t just give
A book or a glove

No Alisha got something
Quite special and fine
For Alisha is with whom
She would spend all her time

Delivered by hand
To the foot of her bed
Jane left a present
The fun lay ahead

As the Chrono struck twelve
A light alarm did sound
And Alisha awoke
But what had she found?

Why, Jane did she see
With a glint in her eye
In a short Ms Claus outfit
Which showed plenty of thigh

In a small gift bag
A long list, a plan
Of activities and fun
To do together, hand in hand

Museums, excursions
Fun shows, and hikes
Fancy food and sightseeing
All things they would like

And Alisha so happy
Full of mirth, cheer, and glee
Said “I love it, my present,
Time you’re spending with me.”

With a pull of a sash
The dress Jane did shed
“Merry Christmas, my love
Now take me to bed.”
