Timeline: After 'Watching the Captain's Address'

Like Maho was hoping, Miyahara was watching her speech aboard a starship bound for a location where he would be safe from the Federation's inevitable witch hunt.

"A right fine speech, Mrs. Takahashi." Miyahara sighed. "Perhaps there's no point in delaying the inevitable..."

Getting up, Miyahara made his way to the ship's holosuite and simulated the San Francisco hotel at which he had only been moments prior. Once inside the simulation, Miyahara and one of the crewmembers on the ship who would record his message made their way into the simulated courtyard of the hotel, where they proceeded to record a message for the rioters. They did multiple takes, and the best one was selected for immediate publication:

"I know you're pained. I know you're hurt. We had a conviction that was stolen from us. It was a textbook conviction, and everyone knows it, especially those on the other side.

But you have to go home now. We have to have peace. We have to have law and order. We have to... Respect our... Great... People in law and order. We don't want anybody hurt.

This is a very tough period of time. There's never been a time like this, where such a thing happened. Where they could take it away from all of us: From me, from you, from our Federation. This was a fraudulent trial, but we can't play into the hands of these people! We have to have peace.

So go home. We love you. You're very special. You've seen what happens. You see the way others are treated that are... So bad and so evil.

I know how you feel. But go home, and go home in peace."
