Previously on Myogi...

Biting her upper lip in active amusement, Alisha couldn't help but grin, "Ah think so myself. Of course, Ah've got absolutely zero problems with it myself. Imagine the look on his editor's face, real pictures of racing star Jane Sinclair, fresh off yet another high profile win, a rematch even with another famed racer, kissing that old has-been Alexis Silverstar." She winked at Jane to let her know that she was kidding about the 'has-been' part, but certainly this day, Jane was the talk of the Federation once more.

Jane kept her chair in its position closer to Alisha/Alexis and took a bite of her lamb appetizer. As with the scallops, the meat was tender and flavourful, expertly designed and prepared.

“Not to talk work, but because of us, the Myogi and Haruna tied up.” She picked up another piece of lamb, and let one foot exit a shoe and gently glide along her date’s calf. “I wondered if we could have done anything else to help. We won our matches but it was hard to sit on the sidelines.”

A shiver of delight ran up Alisha's leg, the contact was so tender, so loving and she knew she'd never tire of it ever. She too picked up a piece of the lamb, popping it in her mouth and feeling it nearly fall apart in her mouth, absolute perfection. No garlic that she could tell, but that just meant the chef understood that this place was often used for romance and few people enjoyed a garlicky kiss. Rosemary, oregano, crushed fresh basil among other hints though. "I know... Honestly, we should have been down three-one, I genuinely got lucky.. Remind me to make sure I'm never up against a car on my bike again, it was hairy and without the mass or wheels to take a bump, I was scared a couple times out there."

“You won because you know how to drive the bike,” Jane observed. “I expect you on your bike would beat me in the car too.”

"We could play the whole thing up with the press,” Alisha suggested, “as a friendly service rivalry event, so they couldn’t cause a problem or give us a bad reputation."

“I like it,” Jane replied. “A bit of external pressure to be gracious. Call it ‘asshole insurance’,” she added with a smirk. Before she bit her last piece of lamb, she added one last point. “And no, the headline will be about Jane Sinclair getting one win after another, first capturing the race victory and then the heart of the gorgeous and talented Alexis Silverstar. Page two will have our picture next to one of you and Vega Dornier, and one of me and Oselias sh’Vennan, commenting on both of our excellent tastes in partners.” She ate her last mouthful of appetizer and ran her foot further along Alisha’s leg.

“God.. They’d better not try to spread that rumor that he and I were ever married… Vega would hate that, his wife even more so, especially since it isn’t true.” Alisha covered her face with one hand for just a moment, then dropped the hand like a hot rock: It wasn’t an Alexis-type movement, “By the way, did I ever tell you I met Oselias once? She guest-starred on an episode of Shea when ‘we went to a concert with VIP tickets’, she was really nice and sweet and just a wonderful person!”

“That she is,” Jane agreed. “She and I had a fling on Risa. The Risian Grand Prix was the weekend after I turned eighteen. She was there as part of a tour. I sent her a message asking her to be my date to a birthday bash. We spent a few days together in the sun and surf. So sweet, she was never bothered when people asked for pictures or autographs, so kind and gracious to her fans.” The memories made her grin and blush. “She also knew about my rivalries with a couple of Andorian racers, including Tyli. She wanted the publicity for her concert tour and was happy to help me get in the Andorians’ heads, so she was all over me for the week we were together. Lots of PDA in front of tabloid photographers. It lasted until we both moved on from Risa. We stayed in touch for a couple of years though, until I went to the Academy. We never crossed paths again but I’ll never forget that week!”

"And to think, Ah was happy with a kiss on the cheek from her." Alexis drawled as yet another different waiter came to collect the empty plates, "Thank you, suh." She gave a bright smile at the server knowing that the main course would be coming out next, "Ah was always too busy to be doin' much for my birthday, kept getting offered parts and then... Ah wasn't, and no one cared enough." She gave a very sly smile, "Until now, so I expect only the best and greatest!"

“Well then,” Jane said firmly, giving Alexis’s hand a squeeze. “Let’s make a point to be in the same place for your next birthday. I’ll take you on the most romantic trip you’ve ever been on. The best foods, flowers everywhere, the most stupendous vistas. That is…if you’ll let me.” She leaned forward and stole another kiss, breaking it off after just a short second.

Alisha nipped at the departing kiss, not having wanted it to end, "Of course Ah'll let you spoil me, because you know Ah'll do the same thing to you! Make more splashes in the news even, or not." She scrunched her nose slightly in amusement

Before they knew it, a fifth waiter came out with their main courses, duck confit with couscous and asparagus spears. A sixth brought a bottle of a red Malbec wine expertly paired with the duck. He opened it and poured Miss Silverstar a sample.

Like a wine expert, Alexis swirled the wine around the glass and sniffed it, taking a tiny taste, then nodded a couple times vigorously, "This is a wonderful vintage!" She looked up at the waiter with a smile, then placed her glass down on the table for him to fill it, "And Ah haven't had duck in ages, this looks absolutely amazin'!"

“Bon appétit, Mesdames,” (Enjoy your meal, ladies) the sommelier said after pouring each of them a glass, leaving them alone once more.

“These people are too good to us,” Jane said as she cut into the fatty, golden brown piece of duck. She made a point to scoop some of the couscous in her fork too. “I heard she turned down the opportunity to join that big cooking competition, so she could focus her creativity here.” She brought the fork to her mouth and once again enjoyed every second of it.

"That they are, but you know why they are. Sure, they get famous people, but rarely together. Besides, you are THE Jane Sinclair, I know you didn't use my name after all." Alisha winked at her as she took a bite of the exceedingly tender duck that was perfectly crispy at the skin, "And it was a wonderful sacrifice by her, I absolutely approve. Of course, I'm starting to regret wearing this hat, peekaboo though it is and it's far too late for me to take it off and be fashionable about it" She covered her mouth as she giggled unwantedly.

“Luv, hat or no hat, you could wear anything and pull it off perfectly,” Jane told her earnestly. “You’re the most beautiful woman in the galaxy.” She leaned in close. “Whether I’m referring to Alexis Silverstar or Alisha Reno. And I’m honoured to get to spend my time with you. Spoiling you, being spoiled by you, anything.” They rarely spoke to each other so seriously, especially when they were ostensibly out for a night of play, but the moment called for it.

"Well, my biggest question is what do we do after this?" Alisha asked, "I know we're going to try to sneak you in to announce the Captain’s race, but what say we go mini-golfing? Or sneak off to the suite I reserved just in case we're here overnight? Something appropriate for that cameraman who is no doubt still hanging out just outside these doors, no matter how foul-mouthed that hostess was going to be to him. Or think they've got the chutzpah to get him arrested?"

“I’ll look into announcing the Captain’s own race in the morning. As for our cameraman friend, I expect he’ll be there waiting for us,” Jane said. “And he’ll get a few shots of us running into the express lift toward the suites. I imagine someone from Spacedock Security will be there to make sure he doesn’t harass us. Shame about my Proximan build, else he’d get a photo of me carrying you to the lift.” She took another bite. “Besides, mini putt closed at 2200. Though that sounds like a pleasant date for tomorrow early evening. If you’re free, I mean.”

"If the Captain doesn't want to get the ship going as soon as her race is over, I'd love to! And let's not run to the express lift to my suite... Don't let him know he's gotten to us, a nice meander arm-in-arm would be better." Alisha played a rather poor game of mini-golf, but she didn't have to always win. Her eyes opened wide as she saw something and someone coming out of the kitchen and she used her last bit of duck to wipe up the last bit of gravy, the asparagus and couscous long since vanished, "Heads up, Sugarcube, we have an incomin' and Ah dare say they're bringing somethin' special."

Before the next staff member arrived, Jane leaned in close to whisper in Alisha’s ear. “I didn’t mean we should rush to avoid the tabloid. I meant to rush because I’m already struggling to keep my hands off you.”

Before Alisha could reply, Chef Marie-Claude Marais herself, in a pristine white chef uniform, arrived, another waiter to her side, bringing a large plate filled with various pastries and other dessert treats. “Madame Sinclair, Madame Silverstar. I trust you’ve enjoyed your meal so far?”

"This is absolutely fabulous, Madame Chef, Ah'm not sure Ah've ever been anywhere that's been as sumptuous as here!" Alexis brought her hands up to her chest in a way to try to show just how much she was enjoying everything, "Ah can only imagine what sort of desserts would follow that perfectly done duck!"

“It pleases me to hear this,” the chef said. “My pastry chef could not decide what to focus on tonight, so he has prepared a sample plate for you. Mille-feuilles, éclairs, profiteroles, and a selection of sorbets.” The waiter beside her set a large plate in the centre of the table between them, enabling either to take little samples of whatever they wanted.

“It all looks supreme, Chef,” Jane said, looking over their offerings. “Thank you.”

With a polite bow, the chef and waiter left them alone again.

“I’m a sucker for an eclair,” Jane admitted, picking up the one closest to her.

"Don't I know it, with that basket I brought you the day we met?" Alisha giggled, "I know the way to your heart when it comes to food, and it's one of the same paths to mine! If only there was some cheesecake here, I'd be in heaven."

“You’ve known how to get my heart since the day we met,” Jane repeated, grinning. “And don’t worry. We’ll order some cheesecake from room service.”

"These are almost as good, though..." Alisha had taken probably more than was polite from the dessert munchies plate, but they were so small and just sooooo good! She winked at Jane, "And since you were the one to invite me, I'll even let you pick up the bill! But since you're the one taking me out, I suppose I'll have to reward you once we reach my suite."

Even though she’d been the one making saucy remarks mere minutes earlier, and initiated the game of footsy under the table, colour came to Jane’s cheeks. There was something about the implications offered by the word ‘reward’.

Desserts eaten, another waiter retrieved their dishes, and a final one left an invoice with Jane, which she happily charged to her personal account.

Well fed and a bit light on her feet from the wine and champagne, Jane stood and held her hand out to the lovely Alexis Silverstar.

Alexis took the hand and very delicately stood from the booth, entangling in Janes as they walked towards the front, capturing her girlfriend's hand and entwining their fingers, "This was absolutely lovely, Sugarcube, thank you."

On their way out, now walking hand in hand, Jane gave Alisha a peck on the cheek and whispered “You were right. I counted ten, including the Chef.”

"Ah cheated." Alexis gave an impish smile up at Jane, who stood two inches taller than her given Jane's own heels, "Ah counted the waiters on the way in." The gaze up at Jane was caught perfectly as the paparazzo made his presence known once more, framing the two of them perfectly in front of the restaurant. Alexis just ignored him as she steered Jane over towards the transport hub on the spacedock, whispering just audibly to her, "Gets that out of his system, Ah believe, though he'll follow us until we catch that lift, with a few more poor shots, then one more once we're on the lift." Her eyes sparkled, "How do we want to handle that one?"

“While part of me wants to give him a show, I think I might be over that phase,” Jane admitted. “I’d say just let him get what pictures he can and ignore him. For the rest of the night, I want your attention all on me, and mine is only for you.”

"Then so it shall be." Alisha said in the same hushed whisper, "Ah have no problem about that whatsoever."

The lift arrived, and Jane gestured toward the open door for her date. Alisha led her in, then only half-turned as Jane followed her in, not looking anywhere until the doors hissed shut with only them in there. Then she looked up with a smile on her face, "And now that that's over with, I only have to be me, myself and I! Sometimes it can be a bit... Tiring being Alexis, but I do still like it overall."

“She’s fun to play and play with sometimes,” Jane agreed, “but I think we can both agree that the real Alisha Reno is best. She’s the one who stole my heart.”

"Just so long as you know that whether or not it's Alisha Reno or Alexis Silverstar, that you know they love you." Alisha said, reaching up to unpin the hat finally, "This was cute, but bah humbug. Maybe it's time to finally retire Alexis?"

“If you think it’s time,” Jane said, “but there’s nothing saying you can’t bring her back another time, whether for a mission or a bit of fun.”

"I don't know... I'm going to really have to think about it. I've been her for half my life, whether all the time or just part time. Ask me again in a week?" Alisha looked up before looking back at the door, getting a nod from Jane.

The lift reached their stop and opened to reveal the most decadent suite Jane had ever seen. Flowers. Chocolate. Gold on everything. One of the biggest hot tubs she’d ever seen. One of the biggest, plushest beds she’d ever seen. A spectacular view into space.

“So,” Jane said as she wandered into the suite, slipping off her heels, “about that ‘reward’ you were talking about before…”

There was a slight sound as if a rope was being pulled, then a rustle of fabric as soon as the door slid shut behind them, even while Jane had moved on in. Then the slight click of heels as Alisha stepped forward, the blue dress now a puddle on the floor, leaving Alisha Reno moving forward towards Jane wearing nothing but what God gave her.

"Right here."
