”So what did you think?”

Jane sat in her Starfleet issue pyjamas on the couch in the quarters she shared with Alisha, eyes bright, hoping for feedback, positive or otherwise, about the screenplay she had shown her actress girlfriend. “I was going for Hallmark Classic; I hope I got it.”

“Sweetheart, you got Hallmark Classic in spades with that script!” Alisha smiled broadly, a mischievous smile crossing her face, “All based on a true story, of course.”

”And of course I had someone specific in mind to play Emmy,” Jane observed with a smile and a wink.

“Why, Ah have no idea who you might have in mind for that.” Alisha dropped into a South’rn accent flawlessly, having already figured out precisely it should sound, “Because Y’all really do want someone who can act like they’re in love with Jane, because they already are.”

”Then my first instinct is right,” Jane said, grinning and leaning in to kiss her. “Now, can you please help me send this to your agent?”
