Location: Maho's ready room, Deck 1

Priority One Message to all Starfleet Captain's and Commanders assigned to Romulan Neutral Zone and Klingon border.

"Put it through, computer:" Maho instructed, surprised that such a message was being issued to captains and commanders assigned along such a large swath of Federation territory.

Upon receiving the command to put the transmission through, the computer automatically switched Maho's viewer off the news broadcast she'd had on while she had been filing paperwork.

A Starfleet Admiral appeared on the screen, he wore the rank of Full Four Star Admiral. Admiral Nakamura seemed to be holding back his emotions as he began to speak.

"To all Captain's and Commanders assigned to the Romulan Neutral Zone and also along the Klingon border, this is a priority one message and caution.

Several hours ago, we received a report from the Starship Armitage that they had been engaged by the Romulans Tal Shiar and elusive race known as 'Elachi'. The formation was being led by the Starship Tokyo.

Latest reports from the area and scans now indicate that the Armitage is adrift in space. The Tokyo has been captured and the Starship Oceania has been destroyed. Armitage reports they have been able to evacuate some crew off the Oceania, however we're unable to assist the crew of the Tokyo. Casulaties to be confirmed"

Maho's eyes narrowed at the mention of the Tokyo's name. If Maho didn't mentally hold the ship and its captain responsible for all the crap that happened and was continuing to happen, from Zack's dismissal from Starfleet to the 'Stop the Steal' movement, she might have had a little more empathy or even contemplated doing what Miyahara would have done and divert to assist. However, the time to afford the Tokyo such leniency had passed.

Hearing this report only strengthened Maho's resolve; emphasizing why it was critical the Myogi succeed with its mission: As things were, the Federation was already facing a potential war with Romulus, and a simultaneous war with Qo'noS would put a strain on Federation resources perhaps not seen since the Dominion War.

Nakamura took a deep breath. "All ships are to remain vigilant. Starfleet Command advises caution in the area. The Romulans may use this to instigate war. Klingon ships may see this as an opportunity to gain power for their houses.

The Starship Thornaby is en route to assist the Armitage and engage in rescue operations. I will bring you more updates once we have received them. Nakamura Out"

The image cut off returning back to the Federations logo.

"Computer, return viewer to Coyote News." Maho instructed.

The viewer on Maho's desk returned to the rightward-leaning news outlet that Maho had indicated, where the news anchor was having an audio only interview with Miyahara, and the viewer just happened to switch back at a point where Miyahara was talking:

"Personally; I think it's preposterous that they can fabricate an entire race of hostile aliens that conveniently fits their narrative like a glove." Miyahara said. "You know, Frank; these criminals are getting sneakier and craftier, and if something isn't done now; the Federation will be overrun with these kinds of criminals..."

Shaking her head and sighing, Maho pressed a button on her desk. The transmission from Admiral Nakamura was too significant to not brief her XO on:

"Commander Misono; report to my ready room:" She ordered. "We have some business to discuss..."
