Mission: The Fast & The Fleet

Kurumi's eyes twitched and tolled in her sockets as she tossed abd turned amongst the soft sheets of her bed. She was perspiring heavily, cold sweat running over her clammy skin.
"No..." she mumbled as she turned over again. "Not you... no!"

The corridor was dark, lit only by the sharp slow flashes of the red alert lights. The air smelt stale, old and dry as she stood there staring at the turbolift door. The lights cast long shadows off the bulkheads, slowly she moved towards the door.

She stopped, frozen as a cold chill ran down her spine like electricity. Slowly, the doors opened. A dark shadow stood there, its outline made of scribbles, constantly moving and changing shape.

"No..." Kurumi said as she backed away, hands outstretched. "Anyone but you..."

Next she found herself running. She was sprinting down the corridor. The once grey carpet had changed, now I resembled a running track. Orange in colour and soft but firm to walk or run on. She could feel the rush of a breeze on her legs as she ran, clutching a red baton in her hand tightly.

"Go Kurumi Go!" An eerie voice echoed from far away. She had to win, she could see the Starship corridor starting to bend to the left. Her feet felt heavy, as if someone had swapped her running sneakers for lead weights. Suddenly she was on the ground, sliding along the track. A searing pain shooting from her leg as her skin was torn away by the friction.

Another strange figure stood over her. Like the first, it's outline resembled scribbles that moved vigorously and without pattern, but the figure had no form, no face. Still she held out a hand, her heart pounded against her chest as if trying to escape from her ribcage.

Then she was laid down. Looking up at the black ceiling, nestled amongst the bedsheets. She couldn't move, her body wasn't responding. But waves of intense sexual pleasure ran through her body like fire. Something was over her, caressing her naked body with its fingers. Touching her breasts, her belly button, inner thighs and slowly running a hand through her hair. She couldn't see it, but she could feel it, on the outside and the inside. It all ended with a sudden warmth in her stomach to which she cried out in shock and surprise.

She was back in the another room, crouched in a squatting position, her legs high in the air. She could feel the pain, she couldn't help but scream, then instant relief.

The corridor returned and once again she was bathed in the red alert light. The klaxon sounded in the distance, along with muffled screams, crying, pleas for help and the sound of phaser fire. The corridor shook throwing Kurumi to the deck. A large gash opened, exposing the corridor to the blackness of space. Kurumi's lungs burned as she tried to gasp for air, trying to hold onto the bulkhead for support.

She tried to reach for her comm badge, to trigger an emergency signal to be beamed out. But it wasn't there, she was dressed in her night clothing. "Help!" She cried out as she was lifted off the floor, being sucked out towards the breach.

Suddenly the breach seemed to rewind, instantly repairing itself and she landed with a thud on the floor. The turbolift doors opened and the small shape slowly began to approach her.

"Stay back. Anyone but you!" Kurumi called put as she scrambled backwards away from the figure. "Please. Don't. Come. Any. Closer."

The figure stopped and held out its arms. Slowly it started to come into view. "No!" She shouted as she slammed her eyes shut tight.

Kurumi sat up in her bed, drenched in sweat and hyperventilating. Her head pounded and she was now wide awake. "What..."

She suddenly felt a cold shiver down her spine. Something was watching. Slowly she began to turn her head. There was the figure, it was a a young boy, with similar facial features to her. His skin was badly burnt, and he stared at her intensely before a big smile emerged on his badly damaged face.
"Hi. Mummy."

****

Kurumi screamed as she literally shot out of bed. Her legs took flight causing her to literally jump across the room. She found herself crouched behind her sofa, holding her chest as her heart struggled to keep up with her rapid breathing.

"Computer! Lights! Full!" She said quickly. The room was suddenly filled with light. Slowly she stood up and looked around. Her bed was soaked from her own sweat, her sheets torn and ripped from her constant tossing and turning. But no child, she was alone. All alone.

She looked in the wall to ceiling mirror at herself. "Why now?" She whispered to herself. "Why? Is this because I'm back in space?" She pondered as she stood there looking over herself. "I don't have time for this!"

Shaking herself off she made her way towards the sonic shower. She was awake now, nothing in her unconscious mind could hurt her now...
