Mission:
The Next Myogi
Location: Surface of Braxus
Timeline: Back at the Battle Of Braxus (A long long time ago)
"One thing I can say about this place?" Mia commented as the two pilots ran through the sewers of capital city of Braxus, "It's actually pretty clean!" She laughed as she took another random turn and looked back. No one was in sight and while she knew that they would have been followed, there were many possible turns and these sewers were clearly maintenance friendly. The two had taken off like bats out of hell, taking turns at seeming random, but Mia had been keeping them basically on path towards the capital building. If friendly forces were going to be anywhere, that's where they would show up.
"I'm wondering.. Should we ditch the uniforms?" She asked as they settled down to a trot rather than a dead run, "I mean, we'd need to find other clothes first, because otherwise I'd get arrested for indecent exposure." The Hispanic grinned at Karen.
Karen pouted. "Aw, but that would've been so much fun!"
"Play your cards right and you might just get your wish." Mia wiggled her eyebrows as she giggled, "Now, since we're out of sight of them already, where can we resurface that we're not gonna run into someone on the surface?" As they continued on at a quick pace, she kept scanning the signs that had been put up on the walls and spotted one that looked interesting. "Let's take this one!" She pointed at the small indent that led to a ladder.
The sign read 'The Cloakroom,' but even by her own reckoning, they were still a few blocks away from the main government building. Mia holstered her pistol and began to climb the ladder, already mentally preparing for what they may be climbing into. Oftentimes bars were named for their clientele, and the name meant it could be one patronized by minor government officials just wanting to get away from things, but in a crisis like this? Likely abandoned. "Ready?" She asked quietly to Karen.
Karen reached forward and cracked her knuckles. "Wey aye, let's knacker these pansies!"
Mia pushed on the trapdoor entry and smiled as it lifted a few millimeters and then slowly raised it until there was enough of a crack to look around the immediate surroundings. Satisfied that there was no one in what appeared to be a large closet, she raised the trapdoor to vertical and climbed out, getting a good look at a large coatroom that had only a couple of jackets hung up in it. She helped Karen up and closed the trapdoor behind them, securing the latch that had been carelessly (or intentionally) unlatched.
She held a finger to her lips, then pointed at Karen and the door, signaling her fellow pilot to open the door and then she (Mia) would go first. A countdown from three with her fingers and the door swung open and the pilot went through as silently as possible, weapon up and at the ready, seeing the cues and heading towards the front of the building. She came around the corner and into the dining area, pointing Karen towards the kitchen that was attached and scanning the room.
"Ai!" She called out as her movements slowed and she stood taller, noticing that there were two seated patrons, a server, bartender and a host at the front. She pointed the weapon in the general direction of the customers, "By order of the United Federation of Planets, I hereby close this establishment!" The cocky grin on her face was apparently and the muzzle of her phaser twitched towards the host at the front as they made a sudden movement that was then halted, "Go ahead and lock that door, then come on back here. I regret that we're gonna have to keep you all um... Preoccupied for a while." Her other hand suddenly filled with another pistol and aimed at the bartender, "And you, keep away from that comm, grab a bottle of something decent and come around the bar."
The host slowly reached out to throw the deadbolt and the main lock to the locked position even as the bartender raised her hands slowly, "Two-gun mojo couldn't hit the side of a barn." She muttered.
"Wanna test me out?" Mia asked with a wide smile, "Not gonna goad me into it, though.. Karen, sweetie, bring the cooks out here?"
"Wey-aye!" Karen nodded as she pulled out her phaser and ran into the kitchen.
"Put your hands where I can see them, man!" she could be heard calling from within. "This here's a Federation takeover of your minging place!"
One-by-one, the cooks were slowly funneled out into the dining room, their arms raised and a look of disgust on their faces that they were being taken prisoner by two measly Starfleet wenches.
As the bartender came around the bar, carrying a bottle of whiskey by the neck, Mia reholstered one of her pistols and reached over the bar to pick up a couple of shot glasses, "Ladies and gentlemen, I wanna apologize for our takeover of your establishment, but we're in a bit of a bind, you see we had a bit of a hard landing and decided we needed a drink or two." She grinned at Karen, "Besides, best thing to do is stay off the streets and anyone that behaves can count on us speakin' up on your behalf." She moved over to where the bartender was and slid the shot glasses across the table, "Anyone wanna join us? Drinks are on the house!"
"You're kidding me, right?" one of the cooks spoke up. "You're taking us hostage just so you can get blitzed?"
"You bampots wrecked our fighters," Karen retorted. "This is us collecting our reparations!"
"Besides," Mia waved the weapon around in what appeared to be a reckless manner, "Wouldn't want any of you to try to be one of those 'heroes' that just gets themselves and other people hurt and all. We all sit tight until the sky stops falling down on all of us, because we've got the numbers and the quality, then we can give you all good characters to stay out of custody and start to rebuild your government.. Under the Federation. Unless..." The weapon finally settled on the cook's chest in aim, "You have an argument with that?"
There was no argument from any of the 'hostages' and Mia smiled at Karen, "Now... All we gotta do is sit back and wait for the cavalry to arrive! And someone else can be the cavalry!"
