Mission: The Next Myogi
Timeline: January 26, 2400

Intelligence Officer's Log,

While the repairs to our ship have been ongoing, with both crews working around the clock, I have taken the liberty of tapping into the archives of this future's Starfleet, and what I have found is... Disturbing, to say the least.

I have requested that Commander Ebisuzawa hold a briefing with our remaining senior staff so that we may have a plan of action for when our Captain eventually returns. Because I think we're all in agreement that it is our duty to take this future knowledge back to our present with us.

End of log.

Despite the fact that it had still been an hour away, Ami was the first to arrive at the briefing room, a large mug of hot chocolate intended to keep her awake during the meeting with her, steam rising from it. But as she sat there, she closed her eyes for just a few seconds, but that was all it took and within five minutes of arriving, the Trill was slumped forward onto the table, fast asleep and snoring lightly as her cocoa slowly went cold.

Kurumi walked in and couldn't help but smirk at the sight of Ami snoozing on the table. She crept up behind her and looked around. This was a golden opportunity and the rarely seen mischievous side of Kurumi was now in full play. She has been holding a PADD with the briefing notes on, the perfect weapon to wake up a sleeping Trill.

SMACK. She smacked the PADD flat on top of Ami's head, not too hard, but hopefully enough to wake her up. "WAKEY WAKEY LIEUTENANT!" she called loudly.

The engineer jumped with a start and a cut off shriek, "I'm awake, I'm awake!" She managed to choke out, reaching out to steady herself on the table, then gave Kurumi a betrayed look, "That wasn't nice!"

"For the record, you had that one coming." Chrirhc chuckled as he entered. "Early bird gets the PADD."

"It's that they get the PADD, not get hit by the PADD!" Ami glowered, "And I did not have that coming! I was the first one here, I just didn't want to be late and I wasn't! Though.." She stuck her tongue out at Kurumi, "Next time I'll wait in another room and set an alarm, just in case."

"Well, if you do that, perhaps I can give you a crash course on Cardassian aggression towards my people." Chrirhc gave a devilish, yet still playful smirk.

"Hmph." Ami grumped, "Get me into a tank and I'll show you what aggression really looks like."

While this exchange was going on, Liz quietly slid in and occupied one of the available seats. The marine commander had spent the past few days thinking of what happened to Captain Takahashi, and that in a few more months' time, it would be her turn to go through it all.

"Well, lets get this show on the road shall we." Kurumi said as she sat at the head of the table where Captain Takahashi could usually sit.

"Thank you, Commander:" Chrirhc nodded and turned towards the few gathered officers. "Now, as I mentioned in my memo to Commander Ebisuzawa requesting this briefing, I have taken the liberty of performing some backdoor access to the Starfleet Intelligence of this future, and what I've uncovered leads me to believe that there's more going on than our friends on the other Myogi are letting off."

"Is that really surprising?" Kurumi asked. "Lets be honest, we just appeared from the past in the middle of a warzone. The Federation seems to be on the losing side of the war. Then suddenly we appear out of nowhere, unexpected and for reasons yet unknown. Of course they are keeping details from us. We would do the same if James T Kirk appeared in our time with the Constitution Class USS Enterprise."

"The war is indeed going much worse than the other Myogi's captain is letting on:" Chrirhc explained. "The list of worlds the Iconians have destroyed is long... Earth, Vulcan, Qo'noS, Romulus and Remus, Cardassia... And that's just the heavy hitters. The simple fact of the matter is, there's hardly any non-Iconian life left in this future. Now, why the hell this small enclave in what used to be Confederate space has become home to the survivors of all these major powers, I can only figure that, for all their faults, the Confederacy was expecting a challenge to their territory, and the infrastructure for fortifications was already in place."

"Their abilities are definitely beyond what we've got right now, given what I've seen from their help." Ami pointed out, "As well as what I've been gleaning from what scans I can get on their gear and tech. It gives them a fighting chance against the Heralds and their ships. If they can hole up in a redoubt that the Iconians can't easily get to, they may survive for a year or more. Unless they can get another really good leap in technology though?"

"Still, I believe that everyone here in this room can agree that as soon as we get our Captain and the rest of our crew over on the other Myogi back, we need to make a reverse trajectory back through the anomaly from which we came to our time." Chrirhc said.

"Ship should hold together for that," Ami agreed, pulling up some data on her PADD, "Since I know what we went through before, I can adjust our structural integrity field to combat the harmonics we came across and reduce the stress on the hull. Of course, what we're going to come out to on our side of the anomaly? That's a good question."

"And given how short-handed we are on Science, I doubt anyone's had time to determine if the anomaly is indeed symmetrical." Liz added. "For all we know, we could walk right back into the battle we left."

"Actually, about that," Ami interjected, reaching down and pulling up another PADD, keying it to life, "I was able to take a look at that as well since we had some help putting the ship back together. I'm no temporal scientist, but as we age here in this timeline, the other side ages as well. So long as we reverse course direct, I think we should come out a similar time after the battle, unless it's still going on over there. That's just a guess, mind you, but a good one."

"Given those Iconians engaged two ships and reduced it to one when we left., I'd say it's a fair guess to assume they've buggered off by now." Chrirhc surmised, given this latest development that the anomaly was likely symmetrical. "I suppose the question that remains is whether or not the anomaly remains stable enough for one more crossing."

Kurumi listened to each of them in turn. "I believe the best option is to return to our time." She stated. "I'm going to suggest that to Commander Misano when she returns, for all we know we could prevent this outcome."

"A reasonable assumption:" Chrirhc nodded. "It would appear that whatever transpires with the Iconian crisis in our timeline, we might play a crucial role in it, and what I have seen is what happens in our absence."

At that moment, Kurumi's combadge chirped.

"Bridge to Commander Ebisuzawa:" Came the voice of the officer on watch.

"Go ahead," Kurumi replied tapping the delta on her chest.

"Sorry to disturb you, ma'am, but we've just received word from the other Myogi: They've detected an Iconian attack force heading for our position."

"Red alert." Kurumi said. "All hands report to battlestations," she announced immediately jumping up from her chair.

"Let's get a move on, Ladies:" Chrirhc also rose from his chair. "We've only got one shot at this:"
