Mission:
Insurrection
Location: Starfleet Academy
Timeline: After 'The Battle for Starfleet Academy (Part 1)
Previously, on Star Trek Myogi:
"We'd best hurry," Rize grunted as she got up from where she was laying. "They've already sounded the alarm; they'll be on top of us in a matter of-!"
However, the group didn't have much time to catch their breath, as the sounds of more rioters coming down the hall could be heard. This group could be heard chanting one word, over and over again at the top of their lungs:
"Treason! Treason! Treason! Treason!"
"Ma'am, I think we should either get moving or get ready to make a stand." Kozakura said quietly to Rize, taking the safety off of her rifle but verifying it was still set to a heavy stun, "It's about to get pretty busy here if we just stay put."
"We take our stand here," Rize ordered, cocking her phaser rifle. "If these filthy bastards want our Federation, they can have it over my cold, dead body!"
And now, the continuation:
Kiki dropped to one knee and brought the rifle up to a level position. They were out in the open, generally speaking, but the same would be true for the rioters except that they were untrained. Take enough down, the rest would run. "I plan on my body remaining nice and warm, ma'am. They shall not pass."
William sighed "Kayode and McCormick grab these yo-yo's and move them down the hall some and set up a triage. Going to have plenty of injured soon." He then reached down and slung the unconscious man they had subdued over his shoulder in a fireman's carry.
Once William and the rest of his little team of medics had dragged the unconscious rioters to a relatively safe spot, he looked at them. "Okay gang here's the deal. You will secure these idiots and trat their wounds. You will treat any other wounded brought here. This is a temporary causality collection point. Once you have the patient stable ensure a transporter tag is slapped on them so the ships in orbit can beam them out. Patra you will protect these two and snipe at any of these idiot rioters. I am going to go and toe the line with the commander. Understand?" "Aye, aye Chief" the three replied. With that he ran back down the hall. Once he got there, he knelt and lifted his phaser carbine, "Commander Tedeza, I happen to have two cannisters of Axonol, it is authorized for use by the Federation as a crowd-control measure; should you wish to use them." William was calm and collected, he had been through far worse during the war.
"Hold onto those." Kiki suggested, If they get past our fire, we could use those as a way to buy us a few minutes to relocate back to the next defensive point." The first of the rioters came around the turn and a roar went up as they saw the Starfleet personnel and without waiting for the order to open fire, Kozakura started with the left side, hitting the first target in center-chest, dropping him to the ground and tripping up a pair of other rioters. Aimed fire a second apart and she was working left to right across the crowd.
"They're shooting their own people!" One of the rioters cried out. "We represent gold lives and this is how you repay us??"
William took careful aim with his phaser carbine and began to slowly pick off the rioters that were behind those in the lead. His goal was to start jamming up the rioters in the middle as the others stopped the lead group of rioters. He knew once this situation was under control, he and the medical team were going to be extremely busy with injured.
Crewman 2nd Class Petra Silika looked at the two medics, Crewman 1st Class Kayode and Petty Officer 3rd Class McCormick, as they hastily as they scanned and handled the minor injuries of the three rioters. They then bound them and tagged them. Petra looked back at the scene of chaos happening when she heard phaser firing. Rioters were falling stunned by the phaser fire. She looked at McCormick, “Multiple rioters are going down with heavy stun injuries, also appears the other rioters are stumbling and stepping on those who have been felled.” “Just great” McCormick said.
Though she hadn't received orders from Patsenbarger, Mai Ichihara had fallen in with Kayode and McCormick, treating wounded where it was safe to do so. She shuddered at the notion of using Axonol for crowd control. It was authorized for that use but it was risky, and she was concerned about the potential for more untreatable deaths.
One rioter got past the line and got too close to her, necessitating that she use her sidearm to to take them out. She sighed, pulled the stunned rioter to safety, and made sure he was okay. "This is going to end soon, right?" she asked her teammmates.
"Just need to wait for a break, and then we can cut our retreat!" Rize shouted over the droning of phaser fire and guttural screams that filled the halls.
Suddenly, there arose the sounds of a distant scuffle down the hall, it sounded like several cadets locked in an altercation with a group of rioters.
"You'll never take us alive!" The screams of the brazen cadets echoed down the hallway.
"Damn!" Rize scowled. "New plan: we fall back and provide support to those cadets!"
She waved her blaster frantically. "Let's go! Move! Move! Move!"
Kozakura dropped her rifle on it's sling and reached into a pouch with each hand and pulled out two stun grenades, activating them and flinging them in a rolling path into the crowd before snatching up her rifle again and continuing her shooting. The two grenades went off and a large group of the rioters dropped, "Moving." She stated dispassionately, trusting the Commander to cover her retreat as she bounded back and then took a position in a doorway, "Covering!"
Rize turned and quickly fired off a few shots, hoping that would be enough to cover their retreat.
