Mission: Handling the Fallout
Location: Conference Room, Deck 1
Timeline: After 'First Senior Staff Meeting under Takahashi (Part 2)'

Previously, on Star Trek Myogi:

"However," Commander Misono continued, "Lieutenant Sinclair has brought to our attention that two particular items of interest-- those being the small-scale warp coil relaminator and the warp field stress simulator-- are too big for our industrial replicators; as such, we will be making a brief stopover at Utopia Planetia to take delivery of the necessary equipment before setting off for Y'Tem."

"Glad we were able to source those components," Jane said, smiling. "Lieutenant Pratt has offered to make use of the engineering replicators to replace as much of the rest as we can."

"And lastly," Ichika continued, turning her attention to Alisha. "We've had Intelligence cross-referencing our personnel archives and determining who would've had access to the shuttle bay equipment and when. Any potential leads, Lieutenant?"

And now, the continuation:

"Yes, ma'am." Alisha expertly switched her note-taking PADD with another and keyed it, though her eyes didn't go down to it, instead speaking from memory, "Narrowing things down isn't the easiest task, since the shuttlebay is one of our primary entry points when we're not docked. I haven't been able to eliminate any of the engineering personnel, but that's not me saying it's one of them." She met Brandon's eyes as she reassured him that she was just covering all bases, "The problem is that it isn't a restricted area and is relatively high traffic. We've had a major turnover of personnel," She gestured around to indicate the changes in just the senior staff, the rest of the crew had a higher turnover ratio than that, "So it's even possible that whoever took the equipment isn't even on board anymore and just took things as an opportunity arose. Obviously I'm still chasing every potential lead and I'm focusing more on initially determining current crew rather than those that are off the ship. If I can eliminate anyone presently on board, chasing down the culprit becomes more of an IG issue than a critical threat to our safety and that of the ship."

"Very good, Lieutenant:" Maho responded. "Once we figure out who it was that took the tools and equipment, I shall have a warrant put out for that individual or individuals' arrest."

Maho paused and looked across the room at the gathered senior staff: This was going to be the awkward part:

"And lastly, we have one final item on the docket for today's meeting:" She said. "Many of you likely don't know this, but a few days ago, Commander Takahashi... The other one," Maho nodded in Keisuke's direction. "and I were supposed to have been married. However, our wedding was ruined by outside conspirators courtesy of the Tokyo. As such, Commander Takahashi and I have decided that we wish to reaffirm our commitment to each other tomorrow on Holodeck One beginning at noon and running until midnight. All crew are invited to attend; we ask either for dress uniforms or civilian formal attire. And also, let this be an advance notice to everyone that Holodeck One will be unavailable tomorrow between noon and midnight, and that if you have plans to use Holodeck One during that time frame, we ask that you reschedule: I know a few bookings have opened up for tomorrow during that time for our other three holodecks, though I advise you check back often on that matter, as the holodeck schedule is constantly changing, as always."

The Executive Officer, for one, seemed a little confused about Maho's announcement; though she kept her thoughts to herself, it seemed somewhat... inconsiderate of her to be hosting a vow renewal when there were more consequential matters at hand. Whatever the case, it would be a matter to speak with Commander Takahashi over-- in private-- on a later occasion.

Brandon was surprised. He was happy to hear of a marriage onboard. While he was still fresh behind the ears, the names had rung familiar. Maho and Takahashi, the second one. Pratt reminded himself there was more than once, would be married to Maho. Brandon was excited to spend some time with the crew and relax.

He already knew who he would ask to join him. A certain computer systems specialist.

"Congratulations, Captain, Commander," Jane said, grinning at both the Captain and Second Officer. She loved a wedding, and took a moment to think about what to wear.

Maho nodded and sat back down.

"Does anyone have any questions relating to what we've gone over here?"

Alisha half-raised a hand, "Not a question.. As soon as I've had a chance to go over the intelligence reports and data in detail, I'll put together a briefing for everyone here. I'm hoping to be able to determine where Nikko is, whether roughly or specifically, patterns of operation or anything else I can put together." She sounded confident that she'd be able to find something that others had missed, "Oh, and I do have a question, ma'am," A slight smile crossed her lips, "Do you have a registry somewhere? I need to pick up a gift, still."

Adélie rolled his eyes a bit at the question, seemingly entirely uninterested in the meeting, albeit formal. He sat with quiet, trained respect. Love and weddings were a waste of time that only dragged people down, but fine. He understood if other people wanted to be interested in that stuff. Dragging him into a senior staff meeting to talk about it? Adélie could be doing so much more important. Hell, even organizing the beakers in the lab would be more interesting than hearing people talk about wedding registries. Even the stuff at the beginning of the meeting, the staff that might be considered important - they didn't need a scientist for that.

"Any crewmember who wishes to provide a gift should make the effort to get in contact with me or Keisuke later today, and we shall forward them the registry. However, we are not making it a requirement to provide a gift." Maho explained, oblivious to her science officer's eye roll. "Any further questions?"

Brandon made a note for a wedding gift and requested a registry from Keisuke and Maho. It was the least he could do. A celebration of birth deserved a special gift.

When no one else spoke up, Maho sat back down in her chair.

"Okay, barring no further questions, I believe we can call that a meeting:" She said. "I'll leave things off with this: Whatever advantage the Tokyo has in innovation, we make up for in history: This vessel is a storied veteran of both the Cardassian Border War and the Dominion War: Two conflicts no Armitage class ever fought in. Captain Aisaka may have succeeded in sullying the name Myogi, but we will not allow it to remain sullied for long. Because giving up isn't in the Nishizumi style, nor is it in the Takahashi style, and together, I am confident that we will make the Myogi's name great once again. Thank you all for coming: You are dismissed."

"Thank you, ma'am." Alisha gathered up her PADDs again and tucked them into an easy carrying position in the crook of her arm, "And I'll see you in a few hours, Jane." She winked at the fight control officer.

“See you then,” Jane said with a smile and blush as she made her way back to the bridge.
