Mission: Indivisible
Timeline: After 'The Battle of Braxus (Part 3)'

Previously, on Star Trek: Myogi:

Out in front of the others, Mia saw a couple more torpedo launches as they happened and triggered off one of her own torpedoes at the launch site as it popped up on her screen. As the projectiles passed in midair, she eyeballed the incoming torpedoes and as she flicked her phasers to stutter-shots, sprayed a series of shots that impacted them mid-flight, detonating them. She flew through the explosion, juking to the right as she felt more than saw the anti-aircraft fire reaching out for the incoming fighters. Another torpedo launch from her went to one set of that artillery while she took another emplacement under fire even while she flipped over onto another course to throw them off. Such was the life of the Wild Weasel mission that she took on her own. "A-A is on me, ladies, take the good targets."

“Copy,” commed Pippa. “Hold their gaze for us for just a tick, luv.” A steady phaser beam lanced from her Valkyrie, vaporizing one of the AA emplacements. “One down. We’re keeping score, ladies, so be ready to buy the drinks when I win. Oh, one more down,” she added when her pulse phasers took out another torpedo launcher.

And now, the continuation:

[Confederate Parliament Chamber]

Reluctantly, the representatives of the Confederacy's member states had been shuffled out of the bunker underneath the government complex and back to the legislative chamber, even as the building shook from aerial bombardment.

"My friends:" Miyahara addressed the gathered members of the Confederate Parliament. "As you're probably aware, the Liberation Day celebrations are on hold due to the ongoing attack by Crooked Aisaka's Deep State. Our faithful Tal Shiar allies have reported that contact has been lost with the CSS Valkis. The ship likely taken out by Taiga Aisaka's bloodthirsty henchmen. It is because of this... Disruption that our allies propose a retreat. Now, I know it is none of your choices to abandon our beautiful capital, but we must vote nonetheless according to the Articles of Confederation:"

"Let 'em come!" Someone shouted. "Better to die on my feet than live on my knees!"

"Per the Articles of Confederation; we shall be a real democracy about this and not that deep state sham democracy:" Miyahara spoke, bringing the chamber back to order as the building shook once again from torpedoes striking the shields. "All in favor of a retreat, say 'aye.'"

Much to Miyahara's surprise, quite a few MPs shouted 'aye.'

"And all in opposition?" Miyahara asked.

"Nay!"

"Nay!"

Came the shouts of the majority of the MPs.

"The Nays have it!" Miyahara declared. "We shall stay and fight: Crooked Aisaka might have the upper hand in orbit, but down here will be quite the struggle!"

As Miyahara finished speaking, the building was once again rocked by a blasr.

[USS Myogi]

"Status of the enemy shield generators?" Maho asked.

=A=BANZAAAAAIIIIIII!!!!!=A= Lieutenant Kujo could be heard cackling between bursts of phaser fire.

Ichika shook her head and sighed. "Our pilots appear to be having too much fun with this..." She remarked, glancing over at Maho.

"Whether they're having fun or not, we need to know if we're able to put boots on the ground." Maho responded as the Myogi shuddered. "We can't end this until those shields are downed!"

Jane kept them in an orbital position as near the capital complex as she could — a job made easier with the fighters having taken out so many of the anti-air emplacements. Hopefully the shields would come down imminently.

[USS Myogi, Sickbay]

Of course, facing full on combat meant that there would inevitably be casualties. And very quickly, the Myogi's small sickbay had become overwhelmed as the injured were carted and transported in.

"At fifteen I joined the army on expedition..." Kael worked while humming an old Earth poem. Plasma scoring along neck and shoulder of the patient. He recognized the pattern. He had seen it before. He would see it again. The biobed quickly adjusted its readings, organ failure. No time. “Cordrazine, 5cc. Now.”

He reached through the crowd and grabbed the first crewman he found. His glove staining red on the man's uniform. "Tell them to stop beaming them here, Cargo bay 2, triage station. Take Ichihara and go''

The lights flickered momentarily and the inertial dampeners shook them. He turned back to his patient. Stable, for now. The doors opened again, more wounded.
''Only at eighty did I finally return.'' he hummed.

"We're going to have to start stacking people like fire wood if they keep sending them here rather than the Cargo Bay," she muttered, more worried than irritated. Seeing Kael was busy, she began moving from bed to bed, creating large groups of walking wounded to be sent to the cargo bay. She didn't dare send them alone, but she tried to choose wisely amongst the remaining personnel, instructing, "Try to get back here as quick as you can."

[Braxus Atmosphere]

Another torpedo drop as Mia kept slaloming and cutting randomly to throw off the remaining anti-air assets, which were dwindling rapidly. That left her with two and the lack of secondary explosion made her flick her HUD from the blood red of an enemy installation to the yellow of ‘damaged, not confirmed destroyed’, but that was the last of the truly dangerous weapons points as she kept her speed up. Two torpedoes left, only a couple of missing craft on her sensors. It took someone half-insane to volunteer for what she’d just done, it was deadly. A glance around and her HUD gave her an estimate on the dome covering the ultimate target and it was shaded heavily towards the yellow. She also saw a missile coming at her and jerked her stick up and flipped onto her side in the start of a roll, seeing the missile cross underneath her canopy and explode, but she was out of the danger zone before the fragments caught up.

She twitched a course change towards the dome and sprayed phasers even as she launched her last two torpedoes and veered off once more away, “Shields look like they’re about to give out.” She saw them flicker momentarily before the shield dome recoalesced,”Anyone have another shot for them?” She felt her fighter shudder violently, but it remained in the air as blotches of red and orange appeared on her status screen, “Banshee is hit, still operable.”

=A=You going to have enough fuel to complete this run and get yourself back to the Myogi, Banshee?=A= Karen radioed.

“I’m fine, Janey, continuing on mission.” The Hispanic pilot fought the controls even as she lied to her fellow pilot, but started to dump altitude and speed to give herself a bit more cover amongst the buildings. She made one turn and triggered phaser fire at the dome shield, but nothing came from her weapons system, “I’m Winchester on torpedoes, damage to phasers… Pendejo!” She swore, taking another turn almost too late.

=A=Roger that, Banshee,=A= Karen replied as her craft banked slowly to the left. =A=All units, if your craft is still flight-worthy, let's line 'em up for the killshot.=A=

=A="Copy that, Union Jane:"=A= Dakota responded. As the pilot from the Kaga began to line up for her final attack run, she did a quick weapons check and noticed that she only had a single torpedo left: "Let's make it count..." She muttered to herself after verifying that the comms channel was closed.

=A=“Copy, Union Jane,”=A= called out Chaser.

"Payload is hot..." Karen reported as she flicked a couple of switches and glanced over at her viewfinder. "Lining up with the Government complex..."

The viewfinder suddenly flashed green, indicating that she had a lock.

"FIRING!"

As the torpedoes struck the Government Complex's shields, a nearby building (presumably housing the shield generators) exploded, causing the shields surrounding the complex to rapidly fail.

To be continued...
